● A high-temperature-resistant integrated filter bag specifically designed for aluminum casting (especially VDC vertical semi-continuous casting), which combines fiberglass filtration and flow channel distribution.

● The core function is to filter impurities in the aluminum liquid and evenly distribute and control the temperature.

One. Core Information

● Full name: Thermally Formed Combo Bag (Thermal Molding Combined Bag), abbreviated as TF Combo Bag. 

● Material: Non-alkali fiberglass woven fabric, impregnated and carbonized with high-temperature resin, with a temperature resistance of ≤ 1000℃

● Color: White (without resin), Dark Yellow/Brown (with resin, mainstream). 

● Structure: Integrated rigid frame + multi-layer filter screen, with side rectangular holes for fixation, making installation quick and easy.

Two. Core Materials and Techniques

● Base material: Non-alkali glass fiber (E-glass), with high twist and high strength, with SiO₂ content of ≥ 62%. 

● Coating: High-temperature resistant phenolic resin, subjected to high-temperature carbonization treatment, smoke-free and with minimal smoke emission. 

● Structure: Multi-layer composite (inner layer + outer liner), thermally pressed and shaped into a rigid three-dimensional cavity, with multiple cavities/ channels. 

● Temperature resistance: Long-term operation at 900℃, short-term operation at 1000℃, continuous operation time of ≥ 4 hours.


Three. Core function (filtering + diversion dual effects)

1. Filtering: Removes oxide slag, inclusions and furnace slag, with a precision of approximately 50 μm, reducing pinhole/impurity defects. Intercept alumina, oxide films, inclusions and bubbles, thereby enhancing the purity and mechanical properties of the castings.

2. Diversion: The molten aluminum is evenly distributed to both ends of the ingot, ensuring uniform temperature control and improving the microstructure. Slow down the flow rate of the molten aluminum, reduce turbulence, evenly distribute the flow, improve the filling process and temperature field, and reduce warping/oxidation. 

3. Rigidity and self-support: It maintains its shape and structure without deforming or collapsing at high temperatures, ensuring stable dimensions and facilitating installation.


Four. Typical specifications (customizable)

● Standard size: 13×6×5 inches (length×height×width), mesh size 2.5×2.5mm. 

● Customization: The length, width, height, number of cavities, and hole positions can be customized according to the dimensions of the flow channel/mold.

Five. Application scenarios

● Aluminum and alloys: Flat ingots, round ingots, slab billets, casting rods. VDC direct cooling casting is the preferred choice. 

● Casting techniques: Sand casting, metal mold casting, shell mold casting, lost-wax casting, etc. 

● Industry: Aluminum processing, automobiles, aviation, photovoltaics, building profiles, etc.
