4. Pay attention to the change of the aluminum hydraulic head during casting. The normal initial pressure head is 100-150mm. When the molten aluminum begins to pass, the pressure head will drop below 75--100mm, and then the pressure head will gradually increase.
5. During the normal filtration process, avoid knocking and vibrating the filter plate. At the same time, the launder should be filled with molten aluminum to avoid too much disturbance of the aluminum liquid.
6. After filtration, take out the filter plate in time and clean the filter box.

First of all, according to the impurity content of aluminum melt, melt transfer flow rate of the final casting product quality requirements.
1. The plate with a large hole mesh can be chosed when a lot of impurities contained and normal quality of casting products required.
2. New type plate with small holes can be selected when the quality requirements of casting products are high.

Secondly, look at its color, shoot its body, burn its things during select the filter plate.
1. The color is pure and no impurity that means the material is uniform; The hand is not sticky that means the surface is not sprayed with binder, which will not cause secondary pollution.
2. Holding the filter plate with one hand and clapping with the other hand, if the ceramic particles continuously drop when beating the filter plate, it means that a poor quality filter plate, which will cause secondary pollution of liquid aluminum.
3. Use an open flame or electric heating to burn red and make it cooled at room temperature immediately without cracking slag, it is a good filter plate.
Thirdly, The effective specific surface area or porosity calculation of the foam should be carefully evaluated when selecting.
1. The mesh homogeneity of the surface layer of the filter plate can be observed, and then the mesh homogeneity of the cross section can be observed.
2. If possible, the porosity can be measured by drainage method.
3. The three-dimensional mesh is homogeneous, the porosity is relatively large, means it is an excellent foam ceramic filter plate.
